About Us

Landscape ecology lab. focuses not on wilderness landscapes but on urban-rural mixed landscapes in Asian low-lying city regions build on rice fields. We address spatial characteristics and its dynamic formation mechanism of these landscapes through both field investigations and spatial analysis for scenario-based visualizations using geographic information system, thereby contributing sustainable urban-rural mosaic landscape planning.

Profile

After graduation of the geography department, I went on to master’s course of landscape ecology as more applied science. Along with making a study on Asian low-lying mosaic landscapes, my interests have been expanding into material flow and energy issues. I believe that worldwide trends of multidisciplinary approaches can reinforce individual academic specialties of young researchers.
